We shouldn't let a word like "fetish" dribble out so unabashedly from our mouths that it leaves a bitter aftertaste of immediate regret. Instead lets sheathe it in a bubble-gum pink to censor (and thus accentuate) it, and ultimately force ourselves to love the very thing we wish had never been part of the package deal.
