What I see: exterior compensation for a neglected interior through distortion of silhouette, color, and scale (in the pursuit of an extreme harmony, if I dare describe it as such). Undoubtedly it can be beautiful. But the thicker and higher we build our walls, the more indignant we become to whatever lies festering on the other side--and either we suffocate under the collapse of our own blockades, or decay eats its way to us first. |
