Just there, just now, resemblance remains -- at its least and at its most telling. And all is laid bare in this snapshot of the end or just before.

i admire your colour scheme. if someone else used these colours in a piece it could look tacky in its "baby-pastelly-ness-ness-ness" (i'm great with words) but here they work beautifully.
