self portrait

36" x 48"
acrylics, spraypaint, and xerox paper on canvas

This painting is a first for a lot of things - *first* _truly_ mixed media (not even sure if I put it in the right category ;p), *first* self-portrait, *first* painting larger than 30" x 40", *first* time using my fingers more than brushes to paint.

Maybe kids don't need their masters.
thank you ;)
I'm a bit surprised as well, seeing how its my favorite of all my paintings so far. But, oh well  I guess this was a big change from the rest of my gallery, and it'll take some adapting :P

I think it's a really good piece. I dont really use brushes much, I prefere to get stuck in with my hands! Keep experimenting I want to see some more.
thanks! I will ;)

I like the "painterliness" of this. How you can see through in spots. And the foreshortening.

Nice.
