Often my dreams plague my thoughts. I wake up to a world unfamiliar, as an entire chapter of my life plays out in the span of one dusk, one midnight, and one dawn. The people I know and love turn ugly because I seem to believe in my dreams without question; a blind faith that plays with my emotions, distorts my sense of reality and feeds on my lust for fantasy. My vanity preaches the importance of beauty and my insecurity tells me to shun the grotesque. And so this new ugliness that coats my world takes weeks to dissipate, only to return in another childish nightmare... the manifestation of a life among ghost images and shadows in the sky. |
