Had this unfinished face just hating on me every time I woke up and couldn't think of anything to do with it... so finally, yesterday, because it was rainy and because I had to stop thinking about food, I finished it. And now even though it's a regurgitation of an old idea I lost somewhere in the mess of student life three months ago, I'm content ;) And also have satisfied my compulsion to leave nothing unfinished.

(dimensions to be updated)

acrylic, oil, gouache on canvas

Sing to me
Thank you ;) I stopped myself before I could muddle the colors, which is why in this piece they seem so vibrant... I quite like the effect.

And yes, unfinished canvases may even be more daunting than blank ones. It's painful.

Ricky Fitts: It's like God's looking right at you, just for a second, and if you're careful you can look right back. Jane Burnham: And what do you see? Ricky Fitts: Beauty.
I absolutely love your paintings. The eyes are so dark, and i really like the feeling in this!! I really like how the dark areas balance each other out, and the bright colours pull foward and the soft ones retreat. excellent!
