30" x 24" acrylic on canvas

Curious what you're thinking, because I can't stop wondering. Change in the process result in a transformation of the product, and I'm left with something that both excites me and motivates me to push harder... This is the first of a pair, the second being purely gestural (a biological formulation of layers that results in an organic whole, a body of sorts, a lady), to be presented in conjunction with 'a liberated allusion to the representational' across three large canvases.

I think an evil stepmother would look like her. The black part at the eyes make her look very strict, but at the same time I've got to think about bird.

i'm getting an 80s vibe, she's like a Patrick Nagel lady brought to life, really similar angles and severe make-up to his girls (see Rio album cover), also getting an androgonous David Bowie vibe, the kind of pale pierrot make-up i think in Ashes to Ashes
but then also she's like a modern Bride of Frankenstein with that makeup colouring and the up do

very strong, dramatic work, thumbs up from me:)
